Since the divorce, mum has been.. distant. Her eyes glittered-something not quite right.. It wasn’t werewolf, it was something.. different. I wanted out.. But I was stuck with her.
“What are you doing? You look horrible!”
“Mum, calm down!”
She’d get angry over the simplest things. But one day, it was different. She seemed like she’d snapped.
I had a special spot at the peak of town. When mum went on a rant, I went on a walk over to my special spot.
I’d get my towel, lie down and sleep. As long as I was away from her..

“I have to deal with her, I have to..”
“I.. have to kill her.”

“Ahh.. peace.”
When I went back home, it was nearly 7pm. Mum was going to kill me..
When I arrived back, she seemed different.
“I love you, dear.”
“Ugh.. I don’t need a hug.”
In the many years of her raising me, I’d never, EVER, had gotten a hug from her. Ever.
What was going on?
“I’m making you dinner, tonight. No fast food..”
Now I was getting weirded out. What had happened to my mother, and what was replacing her?

“Just the dash of poison..”

“You aren’t eating?”
”..Maybe later?”
Suddenly, my mouth, my throat began to tingle. I began to cough.. I couldn’t breathe.
And then I realised what my mother had done to me.
“You.. poisoned me? Why…”
She just stood up and watched.
She just walked away, out the door.
“Your sister is next. Then, of course.. your father.. will be all mine, again.”
And then, I woke, and it was almost dawn.
I was alive. I was in my werewolf form. Somehow it had saved me.
I roared.
I had to find my family, find them, before my mother killed them.

And now, I guess we are here. I have to save them. I can’t be too late.. I’m going to save them, no matter the cost.
My mother was insane, she had to be dealt with.
